Kendra has been accepted into the National Youth Orchestra of Canada for its 2012 Summer concert season. "The National Youth Orchestra of Canada is Canada's advanced orchestral training institute for musicians ages 16 to 28. Kendra has been awarded the 2011 Yo-yo Ma foundation Cello Scholarship by the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra.  Award winners are determined by a jury consisting of the TSYO faculty and staff, and are based on the following criteria:

• Overall commitment to TSYO
• Demonstrating leadership within the orchestra (performance and attitude)
• Attendance & Punctuality (regular attendance and arriving on time to all TSYO-related events/rehearsals)
• Professionalism
• Playing Excellence (includes overall performance and improvement)
